xp taskbar problem
Ive got word 2000, and when I click to make it start, the little message box that tells you about its registration etc comes up, and then.....the egg timer just goes on and on! Getting XP Security patches
When starting up Windows XP everything seems to start up pretty quickly. I can click on any desktop icon and the relevant program will load and operate as normal. However, the start menu and taskbar shortcuts remain unavailable for around 3 minutes. If I move my pointer over them I get the little egg timer.

TP 5.01 pauses at length with XP
It just sits with the egg timer (indefinitely). If I press the 'X' icon I get a page not found error. If I then press refresh the page displays instantly. XP Problems
XP as been updated with SR-1 pack. Everything was fine and no problems untill I fitted some new speakers and to try them out I went to play a DVD with HD-1 plugged in. I went to look at the disk using Explorer.......everything fine untill I clicked on my DVD drive and then I sat there looking at the egg timer.
